Thanks for shopping with Backstreet Records!
ORDERING FOR THE HOLIDAYS?
For U.S. destinations, we can guarantee delivery before Christmas for all orders placed by December 10. Domestic orders placed December 11 or later may still arrive in time (we’ll be doing our best to get everything sent out quickly), but after December 10 only those orders which request Expedited Shipping can be guaranteed on-time. We also recommend using Expedited Shipping if you need your items to arrive by an earlier date (for a holiday party, Hannukah, etc.). Expedited orders placed by 2 p.m. Eastern will ship on the same day.
For orders shipping outside of the U.S., unfortunately we aren’t able to guarantee delivery time (it’s in the hands of the postal service, which does slow down around this time of the year), but we’d recommend ordering sooner rather than later, and we’ll be working hard to get your package in the mail as quickly as we can!
We offer a money-back guarantee on every item in our shop. To return merchandise for any reason within 30 days of purchase, for either refund or exchange, simply contact Customer Service at the phone number/email address above to arrange a no-hassle return. If arranging an exchange for merchandise that is not damaged or defective (such as needing a different T-shirt size), we do ask that the customer cover additional shipping costs.

THE PROMISE: THE MAKING OF DARKNESS ON THE EDGE OF TOWN
Directed by Grammy- and Emmy Award-winning filmmake Thom Zimny, this critically-acclaimed documentary chronicled the making of Springsteen's 1978 classic album. Also an official selection at The Toronto International Film Festival, The BFI London Film Festival, and The International Rome Film Festival, the film includes home rehearsals and studio sessions with new interviews from Springsteen, E Street Band members, manager Jon Landau, former-manager Mike Appel, and others closely involved in the making of the record. This documentary aired on HBO and was subsequently included in the six-disc box set The Promise: The Darkness on the Edge of Town Story.
1. SONGS FROM THE PROMISE
Filmed before an audience of approximately sixty fans in December 2010, in Asbury Park, NJ's historic carousel house, this one-time concert event brought Springsteen and members of the E Street Band lineup together to play never-before-performed tracks from The Promise. Five tracks, as webcast that December:
1. Racing in the Street ('78)
2. Gotta Get That Feeling
3. Ain't Good Enough For You
4. The Promise
5. Blue Christmas
2. A CONVERSATION WITH HIS FANS
A 22-minute program originally aired on VH1 Classic and Paladaia. The focus is question-and-answer session before a small audience in the studios of Sirius XM's E Street Radio channel, hosted by Dave Marsh, with Springsteen discussing the writing and recording of Darkness on the Edge of Town. Footage from the box set (2009 Paramount Theater concert and rare archival footage from 1976-1978) is interspersed.
