SHIPPING
OPTIONS
(select at checkout):
Standard
Delivery is U.S. Mail or UPS Ground in the U.S.; or
Air Mail for International orders. Please allow 1-4 weeks for standard
shipping. We always do our best to fulfill orders as quickly as possible,
and there's a very good chance you'll receive yours sooner than that....
but we do ask that you allow up to four weeks for standard shipping.
Expedited
Shipping is available to U.S. destinations. Customers requesting Overnight
or 2-Day service should have delivery within, respectively, one
or two business days from when we received your order. Expedited orders
received after 2 p.m. Eastern will usually be processed the following
business day.
ORDERING FOR THE HOLIDAYS?
For U.S. destinations, we can guarantee delivery before Christmas for all orders placed by December 10. Domestic orders placed December 11 or later may still arrive in time (we’ll be doing our best to get everything sent out quickly), but after December 10 only those orders which request Expedited Shipping can be guaranteed on-time. We also recommend using Expedited Shipping if you need your items to arrive by an earlier date (for a holiday party, Hannukah, etc.). Expedited orders placed by 2 p.m. Eastern will ship on the same day.
For orders shipping outside of the U.S., unfortunately we aren’t able to guarantee delivery time (it’s in the hands of the postal service, which does slow down around this time of the year), but we’d recommend ordering sooner rather than later, and we’ll be working hard to get your package in the mail as quickly as we can!
Thanks for shopping with Backstreet Records!

The third edition of Rock & Roll Tour of the Jersey Shore written by Stan Goldstein and Jean Mikle, is now available! The first two editions of this book, published in 2002 (64 pages) and 2005 (146 pages), are sold out and are no longer available -- so this new edition is particularly welcome, and highly recommended for those who have ever wondered what sites to see when they make that pilgrimage to Bruce Springsteen's Jersey Shore.
Published in June of 2008, the third edition expands the book yet again, to 202 pages with more than 500 photos of Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Southside Johnny and many others who made their mark on the Asbury Park area music scene over the years. The book details close to 200 locations of historical rock 'n' roll sites in New Jersey's Monmouth, Ocean and Middlesex counties -- including Springsteen-related clubs, houses, street corners and other landmarks in Asbury Park, Freehold, Long Branch, Red Bank and beyond. More than 40 locations are listed for Asbury Park and 30 for Freehold, all well-annotated with maps, addresses and loads of history.
Among the features in the book are vignettes from fans about their local encounters with Springsteen over the years, as well as an in-depth look at rehearsals for Bruce's world tours the past 10 years at Asbury Park's Convention Hall and Paramount Theatre, and the story of how local musician Lance Larson's red baseball cap ended up in Bruce's back pocket on the cover of the "Born in the U.S.A." album.
The third edition features 16 pages of inside color photos as well as many photographs, many never before published, from top photographers Debra L. Rothenberg, Mark R. Sullivan, Lewis Bloom, John Cavanaugh and others.
Stan and Jean are lifelong New Jersey residents who have witnessed much of the Jersey Shore's rock 'n' roll history over the past 30-plus years. They have given walking tours of Springsteen sites to thousands of fans since 1999.
